  • Commissioning of Radio diagnostic Unit, Modern Theatre and Automated Laboratory at Ring Road State Hospital, Ibadan (Sept 2019)
  • Commissioning of Renovated Oranyan Health Centre.(Sept 2019)
  • Establishment of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Committee (Oct. 2019)
  • Restoration of 33kva dedicated line from Ayede transmission to Ring Road State Hospital.(Nov 2019)
  • Relocation of Jericho Specialist Hospital, Jericho to newly Constructed Maternal & Paediatric Hospital, Jericho (Nov 2019).
  • Free Cataract Operation with collaboration with an NGO: Al- Basar Organization in carrying out free eye Camp services at RRSH. (Oct 2019)

  • Organized a 3-day training for private practitioner on reduction of quackery practice in which N 640,000 were generated and about 300 participants were in attendance (Nov 2019).
  • Resuscitation of Task force on quackery with closure of private health institutions for not maintaining minimum standard of practice. (Oct 2019)
  • Disengagement of fund managers and introduction of state Drug Distribution Centre. (Sept. 2019).
  • Fresh Appointment of Consultant Doctors, Specialized Nurses, Nurse Tutors and Hospital Administrators in Oyo State.
  • Engagement of policy makers on the implementation of coronary law 2019 using Olore Mosque as case study (Oct 2019).
  • Relocation of Demolished NPHCB building to Cholera Building at Eleyele. (Sept 2019)
  • Containment of epidemic prone diseases such as yellow fever, measles, Lassa fever, Monkey pox and cholera in State.
  • Reduction of incidence of Malaria to from 80% in 2013 to 46% in 2019. Malaria Survey 2019
  • Attainment of success rate of 92 % as against target of 85% set by WHO. Source : NTCP 2019
  • Reduction of prevalence of HIV/AIDs in Oyo State from 1.9% in 2015 to 0.9% in 2019. Source : 2019 NAIS Survey
  • Oyo State Ministry organized a day seminar for public and private medical practitioners and the launching of Oyo State Logo for accredited Private Health Facility on March 27th January 2020.

 

List of completed and on-going Projects embarked upon

  • Full implementation of Primary Health Care under One Roof (Nov 2019).
  • On-going recruitment exercise of health workers in Oyo State Hospital Management Board.
  • Procurement of 3 ICU Ambulance vehicles and 7 well equipped ambulance vehicles across to 6 geo-political health zones. 
  • Revival of Oyo State Rapid Response Team for the control of outbreak of Epidemic Diseases. 
  • Free health mission across 33 LGAs in Oyo State which was flag off  by HE on March 16th
  • Establishment of Vesico Vaginal Fistula and Geriatrics Centers in Oyo State.
  • Completion of PHC Center at Basorun, Oyo.
  • Completion of PHC, Odo Oba and Algon Comprehensive Center at Eyin Grammar, Molete Ibadan.
  • Oyo State has paid a sum of N250m as State Counterpart fund on ANRIN World Bank project. The project has eventually commenced by March 2020.
  • Ongoing renovation and equipping of Five (5)  Isolation centers Olodo in Ibadan, Lautech  Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso, Awe in Oyo town, Igboora in Ibarapa,  and Saki.
  • Production of 1million Face Masks against the spread of Corona Virus 2019.

 

College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan

  • Accreditation of National Diploma in dental therapy, Dental Nursing, Nutrition and diatetics and Health I nformation. (Oct 2019).
  • Accreditation of post graduate training for Doctor in family Health and O&G.

College of Nursing and Midwifery Eleyele, Ibadan

  • His Excellency , the Governor Seyi Makinde approved the release of N30,000,000 for the College of Nursing Midwifery and School of Basic Midwifery, Kisi which was and used for the renovation of the College for accreditation (Oct 2019).
  • The accreditation teams were accepted by school authority and the report of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria is being awaited (Nov 2019).
  • Oyo State College of Advance Nursing Studies organized short courses on occupational health and management in which 46 students participated (Dec 2019). 
  • School of family health organizes short courses training on family planning methods and reproductive health in which 391 students participated (Dec 2019).
  • Approval of the Nurses & Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) for the training of 240 Community Midwives.
